MOBA's Leveling Systems in India: GS-506 motor grader & Big Sonic-Ski®
MOBA GS-506 – more efficiency by increasing working speed and improving quality
The GS-506 grade control system for graders and dozers is developed to meet the growing demands of the construction industry. It is best characterized by its control accuracy, modular architecture, and its new graphic interface. The GS-506 is engineered to exceed all of your expectations on today’s jobsite. It provides the highest level of precision and allows for more effective and efficient grading. The MOBA GS-506 system delivers this through its user-friendly interface, while also allowing for quick set-up, multiple sensor options, and increased operator efficiency, all to deliver the most precise control of the blade. Additional benefits include its modular architecture, and its backwards-compatibility to prior MOBA products. Furthermore, the GS-506 system provides the same outstanding reliability which MOBA is known for.Increased competition along with shorter construction deadlines has produced a strong demand for grade controls delivering the highest possible productivity using motor graders in place of pavers for GSB and WMM layers. This means the same work can be completed much faster with a grader compared to the usual way with the paver. Other advantages are lower service, maintenance and repair costs because there is less wear and tear in a grader blade compared to a paver screed plate, conveyor and auger. Also fewer dumpers will be occupied. They don’t have to wait for their turn; they just can dump the material and leave the site. The ideal distribution will be made with the grader.
Big Sonic-Ski® – for a completely smooth and even surface
The innovative measuring method with five ultrasonic sensors and its reliability make the Sonic-Ski® together with the MOBA-matic controller a state-of-the-art system for leveling control. Now the Big Sonic-Ski® is combining three Sonic-Ski® sensors over a length of 13 meters (as shown in the above figure). Thus makes it possible to average irregularities over long distances, for example road waves. With the Big Sonic-Ski® non-contact averaging system the paver produces the smoothest road surface and improves mat quality even when the reference is less than perfect. A string line is not required. This is very useful while resurfacing existing roads with ongoing traffic for example.
