As an industry leader, our aim is to help customers reach their sustainability goals by lowering carbon emissions of our machines or by using alternate fuels, or adopting technologies that increase fuel efficiency. In view of this, we are providing engines that can run with blended fuel (ethanol and petrol). Though all our machines are equipped to run on biodiesel, they can also substitute 20% biodiesel right out of the factory. Our machines in India fully comply with the Bharat Stage V (BSV) emission norms, which demonstrates Caterpillar’s commitment to protecting the environment.
The high initial cost of our motor graders is hedged by the reduction in the total cost of ownership due to their extended maintenance intervals and the ECO mode present in them which reduces fuel consumption by 15% or so. The new technologies integrated into CAT motor graders increase their efficiency and performance, helping customers finish their jobs on time. Plus, due to their precise grading, there is no need for redoing jobs at project sites.
Cat motor graders are equipped with AccuGrade™ Grade Control System for grading accuracy which also eliminates the need for survey stakes. This revolutionary solution is factory integrated, sensor-independent, and features a cross slope, sonic, laser, GPS, and Automatic Total Station (ATS) etc. – all of which work on low cost-per-hour operation to save fuel consumption. All these factors make Cat motor graders easy to own and operate.
Our motor graders come with a redesigned cab that has connecting glass windows, and rear and side view mirrors for improved visibility and a safe working environment. A ground-level engine shut-off switch stops all fuel to the engine when activated and shuts down the machine when not in use. Strategically placed walkways and grab rails provide additional safety. What’s more, the machines have a secondary steering system which, in the event of the engine stalling, turns on automatically to help the operator stop the machine safely. Cat motor graders have a higher engine horsepower, and we also aim to increase their uptime.

Today, we have more than 1.4 million connected machines, enabling users to capture and report machine operating data through Cat Productivity and VisionLink® and thereby increase machine uptime and maximize profitability. VisionLink connects customers with a comprehensive overview of their entire fleet to optimize equipment performance and gives them confidence in operations and access to actionable information. Cat Productivity, a cloud-based productivity management tool, helps deliver real time benefits to customers such as fuel reduction, cost reduction, improved productivity, optimized efficiency, improved utilization, and payload reporting.
Our ‘Aftermarket Performance Customer Value Agreements’ (CVAs) provide hassle-free service to customers at any point in their machine’s lifecycle to help maximize machine performance and utilization. The agreement includes dealer-technician support, using genuine Cat parts for maintenance, and fluid health management to help identify issues before they cause unexpected downtime.
