Ammann ARS 121 compactors are handling soil work for a key section of the 354-km Purvanchal Expressway, currently the longest road construction project in India. The soil work is being completed by Regal Enterprises, a sub-contractor of G.R. Infra.
Operators of the ARS 121 praised the machine’s high comfort level, due to which they remained productive throughout the long shifts. They also endorsed the vibratory system and compaction output of the machine, which enabled the crew to achieve the desired compaction in fewer passes. Following the encouraging feedback on the efficiency and high production achieved, Ammann has delivered 6 more units of the ARS 121 for soil compaction in the Purvanchal Expressway.
According to the machine’s operators, the ARS121 is more fuel-efficient, enables more effective compaction, and is easier to control, as compared with the competitive machines they had operated earlier. In addition, the ARS121 required little or no maintenance.
Once completed, the Purvanchal Expressway will provide easy access to the national capital of New Delhi via the 302-km Lucknow-Agra Expressway and the 165-km Agra-Greater Noida Yamuna Expressway. The Expressway will also provide uninterrupted connectivity to 9 districts, namely, Lucknow, Ghazipur, Amethi, Azamgarh, Faizabad, Barabanki, Mau, Ambedkar Nagar and Sultanpur.
