Sicoma: Upgraded MAO & MP Series of Mixers for RMC & Precast plants

The new MAO series of 1125/750 Mixer and the MP series of 750/500 Mixer, displayed by Italian origin Concrete Mixer manufacturing company Sicoma Mixers India, at bauma India, are designed for RMC and Precast plants. “The MAO 1125/750 Mixers have been upgraded to reduce their cost of operations. The wear parts have been replaced with Ni-Hard Castings resulting in longer wear life, along with higher power Motors and Gearboxes. The Mixers have become more robust in nature to meet harsh site conditions," informed Prashanth Kumar, Executive Director.
The tank of the Mixers is lined with Ni-Hard Cast Iron tiles, with a minimum hardness 530HB. The arms, in Spheroidal Cast Iron, have a profile that prevents accumulation of concrete build up. The large number of blades, their position and their orientation guarantee the right combination between the effects of rolling and circulation of the material during the mixing action. Dam version blades (of higher thickness) with weld coating and minimum hardness 600HB are available for large-sized aggregates.

The stiffened structure of the tank eliminates the risk of deformation during transport and during operation at full load, ensuring the correct functioning of the shaft seals; it also allows the positioning of the scale support frame directly above the mixer without the need for additional support structures.
The company also showed its MP series of 750/500 mixer at the event. "Our Planetary Mixers are used in various applications such as ready-mix concrete for truck mixers, production of prefabricated or pre-stressed elements, vibro-compressed concrete products, dry premixed, and in different sectors such as glass, refractory materials for foundries, and special construction chemical products. Depending on the type of application, the Mixers can be equipped with different accessories or optional features that optimize productivity, mixing quality, and lifespan," added Kumar.
Sicoma produces Mixers of up to 6.0 M3 (MAO) and 2.0M3 (MP) in India. The company undertakes direct sales of its Mixers to the OEMs backed by product support, including maintenance and operator training. “Where necessary, we can develop new solutions to meet the specific needs of the customers. We will be increasing localized production at our Dabaspet and new Tumkur facility at Bangalore. This will bring down the cost of our Mixers, the benefit of which will be passed on to our customers,” said Kumar.
