On being asked about how Jaypee has responded to the tough economic scenario, he quipped, "Few competitors have gone through a panic attack. Our straight pinpoint policy is that we don't work on credit to mitigate losses. We have been in this market for the past three decades, and have always focused on technical upgradation rather than mere selling. We never compromise on quality, and that's the reason why we never take the cost cutting route. And this is our message to the industry as well."
He continued, "The economic scenario is a bit uncertain but it can improve by leaps and bounds. A lot depends on the results of upcoming elections. Projects are halted due to lack of finance and the Government has also held-up finance for Construction companies. But we expect a brighter times in the next year."
