HÖTTEN: A Modern Building Material Producer of Global Repute
Mr Hans Jurgen Kokot,
Chief Operating Officer,
Hötten Anlagentechnik GmbH
HÖTTEN, a Germany-based medium-sized mechanical engineering company, is engaged in planning, designing, manufacturing, and commissioning of complete plants for producing modern building materials. Through sheer devotion and professionalism to roll out quality product, HÖTTEN is currently one of the most renowned players for manufacturing machines, systems and complete plants for the production of Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC), sand-lime brick and mortar under one roof catering to the global modern building requirements, said Chief Operating Officer, HÖtten Anlagentechnik GmbH, Hans Jurgen Kokot.
Being an expert in the field of manufacturing machinery & equipment for AAC, we're rebuilding and refurbishing of old or worn out working plants and also a specialist in marketing the final products in adequate quantity. HÖTTEN in respect to these also trains international customers to produce a competitive final product and market it as well.
In its quest to help its partners to learn production expertise and related know-how to improve the quality of the finished building material, its technical experts have been visiting India for many years to impart the requisite training. In view of the fact that it is a medium-sized company a bit quicker in decision making and imbibed global cultures and always ready to help its customers with its state-of-the-art and modern mechanical and procedural technology and by way of well oiled network across the globe. Betting big on its experience and expertise in the field, it is currently scouting partners and investors in the Indian infrastructure sector with a promise of handsome return in a short span of 40 months.
HÖTTEN's highly talented multilingual teams operating internationally, offer services in the form of advisors, engineers, technicians, staff, managers and apprentices. India is a big and an important market for all types of modern building materials and HÖTTEN will play a pivotal role in providing turn-key plants producing Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) blocks and panels, sand lime bricks, dry mortar, hard burnt grinded lime with greater focus on ACC!

AAC Raw Materials & Process
Autoclaved Aerated Concrete is a high-quality building material made of silica sand, fly ash, lime, cement, gypsum, water and aluminium as gas developing agent. The mixed raw materials will be filled into moulds and after raising up cut into blocks or reinforced elements and then cut cake will be cured in autoclaves under steam pressure of 13 bar with a temperature of about 200°C.
Pouring in Moulds: Vibrating frame and pouring at both ends ensures uniform air pockets | Tilting Crane |
Horizontal Cutting Machine | Vertical Cutting: oscillations ensures smooth and straight vertical cut. |
Advantages
State of the Art Separating Machine – separates layer by layer & block by block
ACC is used globally in residential, commercial and industrial buildings for outside walls, inside – and partition walls, fire walls, load bearing & non-load-bearing walls and wall elements for skeleton structures. Some of the advantages of AAC compared to other building materials include:
- Light weightness
- High stability, therefore used for load-bearing walls
- Large sizes of blocks with light weight
- Fast construction with high economic efficiency
- Uniform size: Less quantity of mortar results in major cost reduction
- Easy manoeuvrability-sawing, milling, drilling and nailing
- Easy handling
- Highest thermal insulation
- High fire resistance
- Low tolerance in sizes caused by our high quality machinery and equipment.
- Less shrinkage allowance.
Normal mortar or thin bed mortar can be used for AAC. The exact connection of a wall or roof is given by blocks or reinforced panels with tongue and groove. The fast construction of a wall is granted by the big sizes of blocks and panels.
Features Of HÖTTEN AAC Plant
Steam Control | Autoclaves: safety first. |
The important features of HÖTTEN AAC plant for production of quality ACC included Mixing Technology & Controls; Cutting Technology; Autoclaving and Automatic Steam control; and Separating Machine where several small hydraulic cylinders used for separating block by block and layer by layer. In totality, these advantages are based on a high quality investment and have to be reflected in the market price of the final product. In fact, HÖTTEN is also the maker of machinery and equipment but meanwhile is specialist in developing the final product for marketing. Besides, its reasonable sales price of the final product is a basic condition for yearly profits and a return of investment of less than 40 months.
