AJAX Launches SLCM with Dual Engine, Self-propelled Boom Pump, Slip Form Paver, Concrete Pump with Electric Drive
AJAX, which offers next-generation 360-degree concreting solutions, has launched products from its entire spectrum of concrete production, concrete placement, and concrete paving at Excon.
The company launched Argo 3500 model SLCM with dual engine, first of Its kind in the industry, taking cognizance of CEV IV emission regulations. While one engine drives the steering and transmission, the other drives the drum operation. Both the engines have an inline fuel pump, are easy to maintain, and incur low operational costs.
AJAX Self-Propelled Boom Pump SPBP 15 with a 15-meter boom is designed to revolutionize concrete placement in buildings and the housing sector in Tier II and III cities. Says Debasis Bhattacharya, National Head – Sales & Marketing, “We had earlier launched this product at the previous edition of Excon, the patent for which is pending. It has a pumping kit and boom integrated on to our 4-wheel drive, 4-wheel steering, hydrostatic transmission chassis, thereby offering the flexibility of operation in difficult terrains and confined spaces. We are confident that SPBP 15 will address the challenges of mechanisation of concrete placement in the housing sector most efficiently.”
AJAX Slip Form Paver SPX 754 comes with a 7.5-meter paving width. It has been built by incorporating high-quality components and features that make it at par with the pavers offered by global players, informs Bhattacharya. “The Slip-form paving technology is one of the most advanced technologies for constructing rigid pavements at highways and airports. AJAX is the only company to indigenously design, develop and manufacture slip-form pavers in India.”
AJAX A 44 ZRX 44-m Boom Pump is the longest boom to be mounted on a 6x4 chassis in India. It comes with a versatile 5 section, RZ-fold boom, reliable S valve pumping system, and an efficient automatic lubrication system, enabling precise boom positioning at greater distances and offering high pumping efficiency and fast suction.
Also launched was the ASP 601E concrete pump with electric drive under the company’s Go Green initiative. “Our new launches have been across the entire spectrum of concrete production, concrete placement, and concrete paving,” says Bhattacharya. AJAX is amongst the top two concrete equipment manufacturers in India offering next generation 360-degree concreting solutions.

At the last Excon we had launched our (patent pending) Load Cell-based weigh batching system which has changed the dynamics of SLCM usage across segments; it conforms to IS 4925 standards. Going ahead, we will further strengthen our product range in concreting in core areas of Infrastructure and Housing. Our thrust will be on innovative products, advanced features, technology upgradation, and import substitutions. On the services front, we will be soon launching Certified Refurbished Preowned SLCMs to cater to all customer segments,” he adds.
