Keestrack India: Jaw crushers, Screens & Stackers to Recycle C&D Waste
Deepak Pandit, Country Manager, Etrack Crushers, Keestrack India, highlights the critical role of technology in sustainable construction and demolition (C&D) waste management, while also calling for government support to make these advanced technologies more accessible. He stresses that while Etrack Crushers manufactures crushers, screens, and other eco-friendly machines designed to reduce environmental impact, the cost of such technology can be a barrier. Government incentives and subsidies could help bridge this gap, enabling broader adoption among contractors.
One of the key challenges is the inconsistency in material availability. Often, the actual quantity of materials differs significantly from initial estimates. For instance, a tender might estimate 20,000 metric tons of waste daily, but only 10,000 to 12,000 tons may be available in reality. This shortfall can disrupt financial planning and cost projections. To mitigate this, stricter enforcement of waste management practices is necessary, including penalties for non-compliance to ensure accountability.
