Tenders floated for ₹12,604-cr new NH projects

The National Highways Authority of India has floated tenders for the construction of seven national highways covering a combined length of 229-km and ₹12,604 crore investment with completion period of two years. Three other NHs with 118-km length will cost ₹2,097 crore and the last date of filing of tenders is September 19.

The empowered officials of the state government had held a discussion with the Union transport minister regarding two chunks of NH roads including the newly announced 227-F NH with a length of 34.56km between Chorma and Bairgania and 139-W NH with 44km length costing ₹1,269 crore, as well as the new six-lane Sherpur-Dighwara bridge across the Ganga parallel to J P Setu.
