NHIDCL
The National Highway and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) has fast-tracked the construction work on ₹1,345 crore Jammu-Akhnoor NH project. Being executed under Package- II, J&K’s longest flyover from Canal Head to Ganesh Vihar Muthi near the Directorate of School Education Jammu has been fully completed and the entire project is expected to be completed by March 2023.

Construction work on J&K’s longest flyover from Canal Head to Ganesh Vihar Muthi was completed very fast and that too without a single accident notwithstanding the job executed in the midst of traffic movement. Started in November 2018, the construction work remained paralyzed for two years as some villagers in Paloura approached court and the final decision came after around two and half years.

Package – I work on 0.8 km long stretch from Bhagwati Nagar Chowk (4th Tawi Bridge) to Canal Head is all set to start shortly and work on 4-km long stretch from Hanuman Chowk to Army Area under Phase -IV is likely to be taken up shortly as tenders for the same have already been floated.
