Govt Unveils ₹65,000 cr Road Construction Projects Across Delhi
The Union transport ministry has initiated a slew of road construction projects in the national capital, entailing a significant investment of ₹65,000 crore. These projects, including highways and expressways, are progressing through various stages of construction, with the development of an expressway from Akshardham temple to Dehradun already underway. Upon completion, the expressway is expected to reduce travel time between Delhi and Dehradun to two hours and to Haridwar to one-and-a-half hours. Additionally, efforts are being made to connect Meerut and Muzaffarnagar, along with the construction of a peripheral road around Delhi.
