Gadkari Inaugurates ₹2,367 Cr National Highway Projects in MP

Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for nine national highway projects totaling ₹2,367 crore in Jabalpur district, Madhya Pradesh. These projects cover a total length of 225 km. Notable projects include a 1.5 km bridge over the Jamni river on the Tikamgarh-Jhansi road, facilitating easier access to Orchha, a prominent tourist destination. Additionally, road construction from Chandia Ghat to Katni Bypass and widening of the Bamitha-Khajuraho road are expected to improve connectivity to coal mines and bolster tourism respectively. Other projects involve road upgrades, construction of bridges, foot overbridges, and improvement of black spots, aiming to enhance social, economic, and infrastructural development in the region.
