Delayed EPE-Yamuna eway link leads to cost escalation by 64 per cent

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will bear the additional cost of constructing an interchange between the Eastern Peripheral Expressway and the Yamuna Expressway, the estimate for which has escalated from Rs 75 crore to Rs 123 crore, an increase by 64 per cent. The hike was reported due to alterations in the project design and an increase in the cost of construction material such as steel, bitumen, cement and diesel.
