The project will be implemented on a cost-sharing basis between Indian Railways and the Gujarat state government, with each contributing approximately Rs 66.61 crore.
The railway bridge portion will comprise an Open Web Girder (OWG) and is estimated to cost Rs 91.60 crore. The crossing has a 62% skew, making the design and construction of the structure more complex.
The viaduct portion will have a total length of 311.58 metres at an estimated cost of Rs 19.98 crore, while the railway approach portion will extend for 524.32 metres and cost approximately Rs 10.25 crore.
The grade-separated four-lane ROB will facilitate smoother road traffic movement and reduce interference between road and railway operations. The project is expected to support safer and more efficient train operations on the Udhna-Ukai Songadh section while improving operational reliability for passengers.
