Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated three major infrastructure projects in Kochi, Kerala, worth over ₹4,000 crore. The projects include the New Dry Dock (NDD) at Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), the International Ship Repair Facility (ISRF) of CSL, and the LPG Import Terminal of Indian Oil Corporation Limited at Puthuvypeen, Kochi. PM Modi expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and highlighted the government's efforts to enhance the capacity of coastal cities like Kochi. He emphasized that Kochi is set to become the next shipbuilding hub of the nation, contributing to India's growing maritime power on the global stage. The projects aim to boost the capacity of Cochin Shipyard and strengthen the maritime infrastructure in the region. During his visit, PM Modi also offered prayers at Guruvayur Sree Krishnaswamy Temple and Triprayar Sree Ramaswamy Temple in Thrissur.
