Odisha approves ₹2,071-cr projects across sectors

Odisha Government has approved the 12 investment proposals worth ₹2,071 crore for various sectors, which were cleared by the state-level single-window clearance authority (SLSWCA), led by chief secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra. State industries secretary Hemant Sharma informed that the projects are from sectors such as steel, downstream, logistics park and iron ore beneficiation, tourism, hospitality, food processing, manufacturing, feed production for livestock. The chief secretary-led panel gave its nod to two resort projects to be set up by Swosti Group at Gopalpur in Ganjam at an investment of ₹95 crore and another by Pushpam Realty in Puri district by investing ₹67.27 crore. Similarly, a proposal of Ashribad Engineering and Construction Pvt Limited for the construction of a 5-star hotel in Khordha district costing ₹59.33 crore was also given clearance. In the metal sector, Shree Metaliks Ltd’s plan for an iron ore beneficiation and pellet-making unit in Keonjhar involves ₹650 crore investments. The SLSWCA also approved a proposal for a billet and pellet plant by Siddhiridhi International in Keonjhar district entailing an investment of ₹308 crore. Among others, it also gave go-ahead to a proposal of Panchawati Steels to set up a sponge iron and steel billet plant in the district costing ₹203 crore.
