Centre sanctions ₹15,700-cr for rail & road infra in UP
The union minister for road transport and highways has approved ₹15,700 crore for rail and road infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh. MoRTH has sanctioned ₹700 crore for construction of road over and rail over bridges and ₹15,000 crore has been cleared for the construction of national highways. Apart from this, the union minister also instructed his ministry officials to sanction ₹676 crore for the restoration, widening, drain construction and streetlights of old NH sections in the urban areas.
