KTI India Starts Operations at New Bengaluru Manufacturing Facility

The new plant was officially inaugurated on May 19, 2026, just seven months after the establishment of KTI India in October 2025, underscoring the company's rapid execution and expansion strategy.
The facility will manufacture containerized, turnkey cooling and heating systems for industrial applications, enhancing KTI's ability to serve customers in India with locally produced, high-quality refrigeration solutions.
Growth Strategy: Local Market and the APAC Region
India is one of the fastest-growing markets for industrial refrigeration and temperature control systems. Rising demands in the concrete, fishing, mining, and chemical industries are creating strong demand for reliable, energy-efficient refrigeration systems. With its new plant in Bangalore, KTI is now able to meet this demand directly on-site—faster, more flexibly, and with the quality that sets KTI apart worldwide. With its Bangalore location, KTI is pursuing a clearly defined dual strategy: On the one hand, the company is specifically targeting the Indian domestic market—one of the world’s largest growth markets with over 1.4 billion inhabitants, rapidly expanding infrastructure, and increasing industrialization. The country is recording annual growth rates in the infrastructure sector of over six percent. Major projects in road, tunnel, and bridge construction, the expansion of dams, and a rapidly growing food and fisheries industry are creating a continuously rising demand for high-performance refrigeration systems.
On the other hand, KTI India positions itself as a strategic springboard into the entire APAC region. Bangalore’s geographical location is no coincidence: the city is considered one of South Asia’s most important industrial and technology hubs and boasts excellent logistical connections throughout the region. For KTI, the location opens up access to a market area stretching from India through Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Myanmar to Southeast Asia—regions with a massive backlog in industrial refrigeration infrastructure, particularly in the food processing, chemical, and mining sectors. KTI India is thus not only an independent growth engine but also an export hub for the entire APAC region.

“India is one of the fastest-growing markets for industrial refrigeration and temperature control solutions. With our local presence, we are now able to serve the rapidly increasing demand in India and the surrounding regions with the high-quality systems KTI is known for worldwide,” states Dr. Marcus Albrecht.
“I am thrilled to witness this significant milestone, which marks a new chapter in our commitment to innovation, quality, and community growth.
This state-of-the-art manufacturing facility represents a major investment in our production capabilities and our belief in the region’s dynamic industrial ecosystem. As global supply chains realign, our presence here positions us to respond efficiently to growing market demands. By establishing this factory, we aim to deliver enhanced value to our customers & partners while generating local employment and contributing to the economic development of the Country.
We look forward to a future of sustainable growth, technological advancement, and continued success together,” states Prasad Sannagowder.
Seven months from vision to reality
The new plant in Bangalore embodies true entrepreneurial spirit: it took just seven months from the founding of KTI India to the start of operations. During this time, a modern production facility was built, a skilled workforce was assembled, and an efficient supply chain was established. The opening ceremony on May 19, 2025, was celebrated together with the company’s customers, suppliers, and partners.High-quality refrigeration systems – locally manufactured, globally proven
The Bangalore facility manufactures custom-designed, containerized, turnkey chilled water and ice-making systems. The product portfolio includes solutions for the process industry, the food sector, and demanding specialty applications. The products meet the same high-quality standards for which KTI has been internationally renowned for years.
