SPML Infra Secures Rs 186.41 Crore POWERGRID Order for Bhadla-III and Ramgarh Substation Extensions

SPML Infra Secures Rs 186.41 Crore POWERGRID Order
SPML Infra Limited has secured an order worth Rs 186.41 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) for the extension of the 765/400/220 kV Bhadla-III Substation and Ramgarh Pooling Station in Rajasthan.

The order falls under the 765 kV AIS Extension Substation Package SS-155T and involves the development and augmentation of Extra High Voltage (EHV) transmission infrastructure. The project is aimed at strengthening the power transmission network across a key renewable energy corridor.

At the 765/400/220 kV Ramgarh Pooling Station, the scope includes two 765 kV 1,500 MVA ICT bays, two 400/220 kV 500 MVA ICT bays, one 400 kV line bay and two 220 kV line bays.

At the 765/400/220 kV Bhadla-III Substation, the work involves augmenting five 400/220 kV 500 MVA ICT bays, three 400 kV line bays and five 220 kV line bays.

The Bhadla and Ramgarh substations form part of the transmission network supporting power evacuation from western Rajasthan, a major solar and renewable energy hub. The planned extensions are expected to strengthen transmission capacity and facilitate the integration of additional renewable energy into the national grid.

Abhinandan Sethi, Managing Director, SPML Infra Limited, said, “This order from Power Grid marks an important milestone in SPML Infra’s journey as we expand our capabilities into the 765 kV extra-high-voltage transmission segment. We are grateful for the confidence placed in us by Power Grid and remain committed to delivering this strategically important project with the highest standards of engineering, quality and execution.

India’s energy transition requires a robust, resilient and future-ready power infrastructure, supported by advanced transmission networks and large-scale energy storage solutions. At SPML, we are strategically strengthening our capabilities across these complementary segments to play a meaningful role in enabling this transition. Through our continued focus on engineering excellence, innovation and execution, we remain committed to advancing India’s energy security, sustainable growth and the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.”
