India's Waterproofing Industry Gears Up for Global Showcase and Knowledge Exchange at IIWC&E 2026
Partners with China Building Waterproofing Association as the International Association Partner

Scheduled for 6–7 August 2026, Pullman New Delhi Aerocity, the event will bring together over 550 delegates, 20+ expert speakers, 53 exhibitors, and international participants to explore innovations in waterproofing systems, climate-responsive design, advanced materials, quality assurance, and sustainable engineering practices designed to make infrastructure resilient and long lasting. The waterproofing community will comprise leading professionals, technology providers, consultants, contractors, developers, architects, engineers, researchers, project owners, policymakers, and material manufacturers from India and overseas.
As India's investments in transportation networks, urban infrastructure, industrial facilities, commercial buildings, tunnels, metros, airports, dams, and smart cities continue to accelerate, waterproofing has emerged as a critical engineering discipline for enhancing structural durability, reducing lifecycle costs, and improving long-term asset performance. IIWC&E 2026 aims to accelerate the adoption of advanced waterproofing technologies, global best practices, and collaborative solutions that enhance the durability, resilience, and sustainability of the built environment.
Five panel discussions during the two-day conference will aim to address the latest developments in waterproofing systems, construction chemicals, repair and rehabilitation, sustainability, quality assurance, standards, and emerging industry trends.
Technical sessions will cover critical aspects of modern waterproofing, including climate-responsive design, risk assessment and evaluation, waterproofing system selection for complex basements and water-retaining structures, solutions for challenging detailing, synthetic membrane welding technologies, surface preparation, mechanised membrane application, and best practices in material selection, installation, testing, inspection, and quality assurance.
The conference will also explore the growing role of digital technologies, Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation, and business innovation in improving project planning, execution, quality control, operational efficiency, and long-term asset performance. Praveen Mahajan, Executive Member of the Indian Plumbing Association (IPA), and Mehul Parikh, Specialist Consultant-Waterproofing & Building Envelope, Advisor-CC, Pidilite Industries Ltd, will be among the key speakers.
Running alongside the conference, an exhibition will feature 53 booths showcasing the latest waterproofing membranes, coatings, construction chemicals, equipment, application technologies, testing systems, and specialised solutions. Leading organisations at the event will include Pidilite Industries, Kansai Nerolac, Amchem, Somany, ECMAS, Ascolite, Delta (Dubai), La Greens, Bronco, Ardex Endura, and Graco, and many more.

Speaking about the event's growing international participation, he added: "The response from the global waterproofing community has been extremely encouraging. Nearly 55 delegates from China, South Korea, Germany, and the UAE have already registered, creating valuable opportunities for knowledge exchange, technology transfer, and collaboration with Indian companies."
He further informed, "Waterproofers Association of India has partnered with the China Building Waterproofing Association as the International Association Partner and NAREDCO for the event, further strengthening international collaboration and knowledge exchange within the industry."
With infrastructure owners and developers prioritising long-term performance, reduced maintenance costs, and sustainable construction practices, scientifically designed waterproofing systems are becoming indispensable across buildings, transportation infrastructure, industrial facilities, tunnels, and water-retaining structures.
By bringing together global expertise, innovative technologies, and industry leaders under one roof, IIWC&E 2026 is set to become one of India's most influential platforms for advancing waterproofing practices and supporting the delivery of durable, high-performance, and future-ready infrastructure.
