Ashitech to launch higher capacity asphalt batch mix plants

In a bid to target big contractors working on long stretches of the National and State highway and road projects, Gujarat-based asphalt batch mix plant manufacturer Ashitech will be launching 180-200 tph asphalt batch mix plants. Says Vatsal Patel, Director, Ashitech Equipments, “The new plants are currently at the prototype stage and we will launch them commercially once we have technically verified their rated performance throughput, as committed by us. In fact, we have been receiving many enquiries for the new plants, which we will launch in the next six- or seven-months’ time.”

He adds, “Both the plants are fully RAP-enabled to work with recycled milled materials. However, we have added a unique crushing feature to crush the milled materials before they go into further processing. This will ensure 100 percent productivity of the plants while working on RAP. Usually, there are size distortions in the milled materials when not crushed completely, and fair volumes of these materials are being used for shoulder paving. With the crushing systems in place, the bulk of the processed RAP materials can be used. The new skid mounted plants are modular in design for ease of installation, dismantling and transportation.”


Ashitech’s product range comprises 80-120-160 tph plants, all of which are RAP-enabled; and some options are also available. Patel informs that for more energy efficiency and heat retention, the company is developing new burners based on their in-house design. “We have been making design improvisations in our plants as per the changing application requirements of our clients. A major addition has been the provision of double filters in case of poor fuel quality. To ensure higher availability of the plants, we have made a huge investment for testing the entire electrical and mechanical interface of our plants.”

Ashitech provides product support to customers through its team of service engineers, is now also setting up depots to stock spare parts at various locations for quick delivery of parts to reduce downtime. It is also planning to engage a dealer overseas for export of its plants.
