SHIG India anticipates strong demand across sectors
Says Gurunath Kulkarni, VP-India Business “There will be continuous demand for backup power for data centers, infrastructure segment, commercial and residential realty led by front loading investment from the government. We will see demand despite the abundant power available from the grids and especially for power solutions with higher power ratings.”
Baudouin has wide product range from 250 kva to 4000 kva in hybrid, diesel, and gas-based gensets. He shared that “Baudouin India is fully geared up to meet the upcoming emission norms CPCB IV+ and the new range with be launched in Q2 2023.” He also mentioned that Baudouin will be adding products from 62.5 to 200 kVA in the CPCB IV+ era.” Authorized OEM partners assemble and sell the captive generator sets and provide the requisite back-up and support throughout the equipment’s life. Services include genuine spare parts, onsite maintenance, operational guidance, and condition monitoring.
Gurunath also mentioned that the organization is anticipating demand for its diesel engines from excavators, wheel loaders, motor graders, and more so from tipper trucks which are used extensively in surface mining for removal of overburden. Demand is expected from the urban mobility segment as well.
With regard to their engines for tipper trucks, Kulkarni informs, “We provide customers a complete powertrain along with engine, axles and transmission. Our solutions are designed for tipper trucks of 60-105-150-160 tons. Our off-highway electronic engines come with a highly effective combustion cycle and thermal efficiency, and they are lighter in weight as per the required power to weight ratio stipulated by the industry.
Gurunath is confident that demand for engines from tipper trucks working in the mining industry will continue to be firm; and they are also likely to see demand coming from the engine replacement market apart from new tipper trucks.
SHIG India has state of the art manufacturing facility in Pune for making engines in India. With aggressive expansion plans in execution it will be the company’s second largest factory in India followed by China and France, and it will also be a global manufacturing hub of SHIG.
