JCB Adds Hand & Power Tools to its Repertoire

That JCB needs no introduction in the Indian Construction Equipment (CE) Industry is a well known fact, what's quite remarkable is the company's quest to continuously expand its horizons. JCB, which is India's largest CE manufacturer, has now added Hand & Power Tools to its quality consumer products portfolio. For this purpose, the company has entered into an agreement with leading Hand and Power Tools manufacturers - Groz Private Limited and Master Alloys Limited respectively to manufacture, source and distribute JCB branded tools.

Speaking during the launch of this new vertical in New Delhi, Mr. Amit Gossain Executive Vice President – Marketing, Business Development and Corporate Affairs, JCB India Limited, expressed, "We are highly ecstatic about this new product portfolio. These power and hand tools are highly ergonomic, hi-tech, and user friendly. We have chosen Groz and Master Alloys as our collaborators because these companies have proven their credentials not only in India, but abroad as well. Besides marketing and distribution, our partners will also provide after-sales assistance to the consumers."

Meanwhile, Mr. John Atkinson, Worldwide Head, JCB Consumer Products, who was also present at the launch, stated, "India is the largest market for JCB and we have maintained a leadership position here for a long time now. Through this new product offering, we will be able to tap a broader customer range in the country."

Notably, Groz Engineering Tools (P) Ltd. is a leading manufacturer and supplier of Lubrication Equipments, Precision Engineering Tools, and Hand Tools with 5 manufacturing plants in India, and it exports to over 75 countries. Groz has a wide distribution channel in India and works with almost all the OEMs in Automotive, Manufacturing, Construction, and Mining & Infrastructure Industry.

Meanwhile, Master Alloys Limited is a leader in mining project development and delivery. The company has partnered with CITIC Heavy Industries Company Limited for all mining projects, and its pelletizing plants convert slurry into finished iron ore spheres – pellets. For more than half a century, MAL successfully guided large and small cement projects around the world.

Pertinently, JCB has specifically designed a range for the Indian market to serve robust usage and longevity. The wide range of Power Tools includes angle grinder with back & side switch, circular saw, planer, marble cutter, electrical drill, and rotary hammer. The Hand Tools range includes best in class tools storage solutions, specialty tool sets, cutting & pipe tools, measuring & layout tools, striking & finishing, and general tools for automotive and industrial applications. These tools will also pave way for higher efficiency and higher income for the manual workers.
