Bonfiglioli Transmissions Pvt Ltd is looking for enhanced market presence in India's construction equipment industry based on the modular design of its gear boxes. This was stated by Mr. Kennady V. Kaipally, Country Manager, Buisness Unit-Mobile & Business Solutions, Bonfiglioli India. Bonfiglioli's mobile business unit caters the requirements of construction equipment, manufactures in India at its Chennai facility with a capacity to manufacture 40,000 units. The facility also houses the R&D facility. Bonfiglioli manufacturers planetary drives for mini excavators, excavators, batching plants, transit mixers, self-loading truck mixers, concrete pumps, road compactors, skid steer loaders, tracked and wheel road pavers, milling machines, recycling machines, tracked and wheel mounted cranes, access platforms, tower cranes, reach stackers, drilling rigs crushing, and screening machines among others.

Bonfiglioli Transmissions Pvt. Ltd was started in 1999. It has a 46,500 square meter facility in Chennai employing 350 plus employees. Bonfiglioli's Mobile Business Unit facility in India manufactures planetary gearboxes - complete with hydraulic and electric motors for excavators, and roadwork equipment. The facility according to the company is strategic for business expansion. Thirty percent of its products are exported to the global markets with a turnover of more than Rs. 500 crores.

Bonfiglioli has 17 commercial subsidiaries in four continents and a wide range of high technology power conversion systems. It designs, manufactures and distributes gearmotors, drive systems, planetary gearboxes, inverters and photovoltaic solutions for industrial automation, mobile machinery, and renewable energy applications.
