Potain India Displays New MCT 135 H8 Top Tower Cranes
Potain showcased its new MCT 135 H8 tower crane at Excon that can lift maximum load of 8 tons at 15.3 meters working radius and a minimum of 1.5 tons at full 60m jib length. The MCT 205, 10-ton capacity crane with 60m jib length is finding encouraging demand from power plants and projects requiring, heavier precast load lifting and placement at bigger heights. The company, which claims to have a sizeable market share in the 10-ton class, is targeting newer application areas through the MCT 135 H8 flat top tower and other cranes, and is also promoting its hydraulic luffing cranes.
Informs Prashant Suryawanshi, MD, Potain India, “Besides the high-rise real estate construction projects, we will also promote our cranes for use in infrastructure project applications like the construction and erection of bridge pylons to support the main deck; for supporting construction of reactors and utilities in nuclear power projects; for construction of cooling towers in thermal power projects; and for lifting prefabricated elements that require high-capacity tower cranes.”
He informs that Potain India has sold two units of its 8-ton MCH125 hydraulic luffing crane for use in a high rise project in Mumbai, and has recently delivered four units of 20 Ton flat top crane for the Mumbai-Pune Missing Link Road construction project.
Potain India produces 5-6-8-10-ton flat top tower cranes at its Pune facility. It is also exporting them to the Middle East and European countries. The company is now contemplating producing 12-16 tons of cranes.
