Commissioning of Latest Terex® CC 2800-1 Crawler Crane at Sanghvi Movers Ltd
Terex Cranes' most recent delivery of a 600-tonne capacity class Terex CC 2800-1 crawler crane was marked with a ceremony when it was commissioned at Sanghvi Movers Ltd's facility in Pune, India. This was the twelfth crane delivery to Sanghvi as part of a multi-unit order placed in late 2010, which comprised a mix of 400, 600 and 1600-tonne capacity class crawler cranes. Sanghvi uses its cranes in the construction of wind-energy projects as well as power stations and refineries throughout India.
The Terex CC 2800-1 lattice boom crawler crane can be converted from standard version to special-purpose wind power crane - and back with only a few special components including extra-strong main boom sections and a fixed fly jib (LF2) in 12, 24 or 36-meter lengths developed specifically for wind turbine erection. Standard available wind-power combinations provide excellent lifting capacities and clearance while reducing transportation costs. Available in both standard and narrow-track (NT) models, the NT version enables access to roads and track ways from 5,3 meters in width. The NT version is compatible with 1.5 meter track pads (for reduced ground pressure). Additionally, the CC 2800-1 can also be supplied with a chassis designed for road travel. The standard machine, including all winches and A-frame, is transportable within a 12-tonne axle load limit. With design features and options that focus on time-saving setup and disassembly processes, the CC 2800-1 provides the benefits of being both highly flexible and cost-effective to operate. Equipped with the time-proven Terex IC-1 control system, this machine is simple, precise and comfortable to operate in almost any working conditions.
