Coninfra Machinery's Higher Capacity Drum & Asphalt Batch Mix Plants

Director, Coninfra Machinery
According to Saumil Shah, Director, Coninfra Machinery, the company is geared up to venture into the higher capacity of 200-400 tph drum & asphalt batch mix plants once market demand escalates.

What new products is the company planning to introduce

We have started production of drum and asphalt batch mix plants at our new facility in Kathwada, Ahmedabad. Currently, we are producing 40-150 tph drum mix plants and 80-160 tph asphalt batch mix plants. Our next step is to produce 200 to 250 tph plants and will venture into the higher capacity of 200-400 tph plants once we see market demand is escalating.

We are an ISO 900:2015 certified company with an in-house testing lab equipped with a sophisticated testing equipment to ensure that our products guarantee consistent performance. Our aim is to become a leading manufacturer of advanced production systems, and innovative products and solutions for which we will also invest in R&D.

the rated output and the right level of heating efficiency

What efficiencies is the company’s proprietary technology bringing in the production of its plants

Our in-house proprietary technology allows our asphalt batch mix plants to deliver the rated output and the right level of heating efficiency. Our in-house designed modulating burners aligned with a bag house filter ensure the desired heating efficiency. The operation is backed by PLC-based Scada systems. This does away with the moisture present in the aggregates while maintaining the right air to fuel ratio.

We have designed the mixing and the allied process through overrating the plants such that our plants deliver the rated output, which also enables the base plant to deliver 15% more throughput. All our plants are structurally very stable, and we are now making them RAP-enabled. We plan to promote them in both the domestic and export markets.

What other investments is the company making to remain competitive

We are investing in advanced production technologies and backward integration in order to hedge the high price of raw materials. We are getting a positive response for our plants, but the higher cost of raw materials has made it challenging for us to offer more economically priced products.

We are marketing and servicing our plants through our own channels and are also appointing dealers to supplement our marketing and servicing. Along with installation, maintenance, and training support, we will be setting up an ERP-based system as a value-added service, so that customers can order parts online.
