Caterpillar unveils new products for Indian market

Caterpillar, the global heavy equipment manufacturer, announced the launch of its new products for the Indian region. With the introduction of the new Next Gen Cat® 120 Motor Grader, Caterpillar aims to deepen its presence in the infrastructure, mining and energy sectors in India with innovative and cutting-edge technology.

The new Cat 120 Motor Grader was displayed alongside Caterpillar’s existing range of excavators, wheel loaders, backhoe loaders, skid steer loaders, off-highway trucks and generator sets.

Customers can expect increased productivity with an improved operator environment, better fuel efficiency and more reliability from the new range of Cat motor graders. The Next Gen Cat 120 Motor Grader is engineered with customer preferences in mind and offers the ability to tailor the machine to required applications. Building on the top-selling Cat 120K2 Motor Grader, the new Next Gen Cat 120 Motor Grader advances performance and lowers costs. Features include ECO mode and variable horsepower, the new Cat C7.1 engine that reduces fuel consumption by up to 15% compared to its predecessor; a redesigned operator cabin with air conditioning, seat options, and a large touchscreen monitor with information display and productivity and the cabin’s innovative connecting rear window design for enhanced visibility. A new filtration technology saves customers up to 15% in maintenance costs compared to the previous model.

Also on display was the Cat® 216B3 Skid Steer loader. The B3 series models are proven Caterpillar designs that have earned immense reputation for quality, low owning and operating costs, and performance, worldwide. The machine’s wide range of work tools/attachments include multipurpose buckets, pallet forks, utility brooms (sweepers), augers, brush cutters and hammers, among others, making it the ideal worksite solution for a variety of applications.

Numerous product advancements in the Caterpillar backhoe loader line have been driven by customer feedback. The Cat®426F2 is now bundled with four-wheel drive, multipurpose bucket option, boosted brakes, drive shaft guard option, air conditioning option, ROPS/FOPS certified cabin etc. “The Cat® 426F2 is a highly configured machine with industry defining features, opening up a new dimension for our customers in India,” commented Caterpillar Building Construction Products Division’s Sales & Marketing Director, Amit Bansal. “The machine aims to cater to some of the aggressive topography and terrain requirements, where we have focused our efforts on getting the job done comfortably and safely.”
