Eimco Elecon's Made in India Fuel Efficient Rotary Piling Rig
Eimco Elecon, has been offering a wide range of products such as side discharged loaders, load haul dumpers, chairlift man riding system, continuous miner, roof bolter, shuttle car etc, for use in Underground Mining.
“EC216 is an indigenized machine, which has been designed in the USA in technical collaboration with CZM, a premier Piling Rig manufacturer & US market leader in foundation drilling rigs. Mounted on a Renowned base of Zaxis 370, the drilling rig has High Torque to Weight Ratio, Multiple Rotary Speeds for all types of Soil & Rock Strata, Unique & Strong Kelly Bar and multi-piece mast make this Rig matchless for various configuration, like long & short mast and applications such as for under-bridge and factory buildings where allowable height is a constraint. Wider Rotary, with high contact profile allows the piling drill to deliver high drilling torque,” informs Neeraj Bhatia, SBU Head, Construction Equipment, Eimco Elecon.
He adds, “Reliability, Productivity & Fuel Efficiency – are kept in focus while designing this Rig by our technical collaborator, CZM -USA & Eimco Elecon is known for excellence in after sales support. Our Indian customers will get a high quality and durable machine at a very reasonable cost - this will be our key selling point.”
The company has a credential of maintaining market share of more than 90% in underground mining equipment for over last more than 45 years, according to Bhatia, and has now forayed into construction equipment, starting with Piling Rigs & Articulated Loaders.
“Our machines are deployed in coal and metalliferous mining areas where they are used for underground mining, and transportation of materials from the mining base to ground level, like our LDS (load haul dumpers) that are used as carriers, and the shuttle cars. Most of our products are mainly driven by electrical motors or fuel efficient engines which makes them environment friendly. Our articulated loaders are also fuel efficient by 20 to 30% fuel consumption,” he adds. “Given the strong focus on infrastructure building, we are expecting a consistent growth of at least 5 to 10% in the construction equipment segment,” informs Bhatia.
“We have put a lot of focus on developing new products so that we can offer more effective, high-quality machines, at a very reasonable cost. While we have technical collaborations with foreign European & American companies, we shall be manufacturing our machines in India under ‘Make in India & Atam Nirbhar Bharat.”
Eimco Elecon Rigs are being used in metros, road bridges, factory buildings and railway projects across India, while in underground mining the company’s projects are in the eastern, central and southern parts of India. The company has a pan India service network and branch offices in all cities. “Our leading position in underground mining equipment is due to our effective after sales support & highly reliable products and the same will be replicated in Construction Equipment business as well,” avers Mr Bhatia.
