Puzzolana Road Pavers Advancing Road Construction Efficiently
What are Puzzolana’s Make in India initiatives?
With the directives of our Prime Minister and the Make in India initiative, which is going to drive use of indigenously manufactured construction equipment, Puzzolana is ready to deliver world-class equipment for Paving, Milling and Compaction for use in all types of roads like Expressways, NHAI, State Highways, and PMGSY projects.
In fact, all our Road Pavers are engineered with the spirit and vision of the Make In India initiative. They are built to be the most reliable paving equipment and perform all applications for asphalt roads like BDM, WMM, BC and DLC, depending on the delivery of mix and paving width and depth. Our pavers with an efficient vibratory and tamping screed and automatic sensor controls for grades and slopes achieve laydown rates of up to 700 tph.
With our aim to be a global Indian player in the Road Construction and Maintenance products segment, we have plans to diversify extensively. We have recently launched our Track Mounted Road Pavers.
What measures is Puzzolana taking towards sustainability in its Construction Equipment?
Both the MoRTH and the Road Ministry are actively addressing sustainability issues, and the CE Industry of India is now more inclined towards using indigenous machinery with cutting edge technology, and low operation and maintenance costs.
The Ministry of Roadways is also encouraging equipment manufacturers to incorporate recycled materials like rubber crumb, steel slag, cold mix, reclaimed materials, and asphalt pavement (RAP) into asphalt macadam. This will reduce waste and conserve natural resources.
As we move forward, we remain dedicated to supporting the nation's growth and development through sustainable and efficient solutions. We are confident that our advanced technology and robust engineering will drive significant advancements in road construction and maintenance, enhancing the infrastructure landscape across India.
Our Track Pavers P2575 and P3100 of 7.5 meter and 10-meter, respectively, are designed for Warm Mix Technology, Polymer-Modified Binders, and Bio-Based Alternatives used in paving roads.
What is your strategy to garner a larger market share in the road construction industry?
I am confident that Puzzolana is well-equipped to acquire a handsome chunk of market share in the coming years with its advanced road equipment. Our pavers have features that are capable of handling the demographically diverse road infrastructure of the Indian subcontinent, while our highly skilled design and sales teams contribute most efficiently to the construction of India’s road network.
Moreover, our commitment to innovation and quality ensures that Puzzolana's Road Pavers not only meet industry standards, but also set new benchmarks in performance and durability.
What growth prospects do you see in India's construction equipment industry?
India's construction equipment industry saw a 26% increase in sales to 1,35,650 units in FY 2023-24, thanks to the government's infrastructure-led growth agenda. The road construction equipment, which was the only segment with negative growth in FY23, made a spectacular recovery in FY24 by selling 6,571 units of equipment - a 40% increase from the 4,828 units sold in FY23. The market size of India's construction industry, estimated to be around $778 billion in 2023, is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 6% from 2024 to 2033, reaching US$1.393 trillion in 2033.
