“Fibrex Glued Steel Fibers concrete absorb and dissipate energy more efficiently than normal concrete without fibers. The fibers offer post crack ductility whereas normal concrete would completely collapse on cracking while concrete reinforced with Fibrex would continue to bear load even after cracking. So, normal concrete is brittle while concrete with Fibrex is ductile and long lasting,” says Mr. S Krishna Kumar, Vice President, Fiber Division, Fibrex.
He believes that ability and experience to handle hazardous products is USP of the company. “We aim to educate as well as popularize the product making it available in every part of the country and its advantage bringing the consumption levels on par with Europe, USA & Japan. The product applications of Glued Steel Fibers are wide and varied, significant among them being slabs and flooring, precast, and structurals,” adds Mr. Krishna Kumar.
