INSULTEC® is the result of 35 years research by an Australian Insulation Technologist. Insultec is a water–based Co-polymer compound containing inert pigment and special fillers. It has excellent adhesion and is micro porous, impervious to salt spray and airborne pollution and algae and fungus resistant. Insultec has been thoroughly tested and is acclaimed by world authorities on heat transfer, the company says. Insultec has been used by the Indian Railways, Indian Air force and many other Government organizations for the past 10 years.
With its formula of resin, Insultec can be applied on reinforced concrete surfaces, galvanized and asbestos roofs, brick wall tarpaulin and tapestry. The material allows the inside air to cool at approximately the same times as the outside ambient temperature.
Insultec is a perfect coating for all residential building and complexes. Its membranes and coatings are in addition to waterproofing, scrub resistant, elastic and washable. It has shown excellent resistance towards water vapor transmission, water absorption, carbon dioxide diffusion and chloride ion penetration.
Chitra Insultec (P) Ltd. Ahmedabad is the manufacturer of Insultec under technical collaboration with Insulting Technology Pty. Ltd. Australia. "Insultec is the only selective white membrane in the world," says Mr. Haridas Panicker G.M. Chitra Insultec (P) Ltd. Insultec reradiates both U.V. & I. R radiation and keep the inside room temperature cooler up to 10oC.
