Types of Liquid membranes
  • BUILDTHENE IC-Polyurethane-based Liquid Membrane

BUILDTHENE IC is a single/two component-based high solid content Elastomeric Polyurethane Membrane for waterproofing (In situ) developed by BTPIL. The product is based on Polyester Polyols with ISO Syanurate, which imparts fire-resistant characteristics.

The two components- BUILDTHENE IC is a 100% elastomeric polyurethane liquid membrane, and the mixed material is brushable and forms a high build film/membrane on the substrate. It cures atmospherically to a permanently flexible seamless membrane.

    The salient features are:
    • High Dimensional Stability
    • Suits a variety of applications
    • User-friendly
    • Eco-friendly
    • Chemical & abrasion-resistant
    • Extremely UV-resistant
    • Cold applied, no torching required.
BUILDTHENE IC conforms to ASTM C 836 and to be applied as per ASTM C 898. The product has been approved by various government agencies like NTPC, EIL, IOCL, BHEL RIL and DVC, to name a few. It is being used in projects including NTPC - Kahalgaon, NTPC - Sipat, NTPC - Rihand, IOCL – Panipat, Amarkantak Thermal Power Plant, Rosa & Sasan Thermal Power Project of Reliance Infra, BHEL-Bellary, BHEL - Tapi.

Ideally, BUILDTHENE IC gives 1.5mm/kg/sqm. in two coats. Curing of the layer starts within 15 minutes of mixing and complete curing is obtained after 24 hrs. The product is available in grey/offwhite & black colours.
  • BUILDCOTE EC 20-Acrylic Polymer-based Liquid Membrane

BUILDCOTE EC 20 is a two-component-based high solid content elastomeric acrylic membrane coating for waterproofing (In situ). The product is based on acrylic polymer which imparts elastomeric properties. The mixed material is brushable and forms a high build film/membrane on the substrate. It cures to a permanently flexible, seamless membrane.

    The salient features are:
    • High Dimensional Stability
    • Suits a variety of applications
    • User-friendly
    • Eco-friendly
    • Chemical & abrasion-resistant
    • Extremely UV-resistant
    • Cold applied, no torching required
