JICA Attends Launch of AGC Asia Pacific Innovation Hub at IIT Hyderabad

Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) attended the inauguration of the AGC Asia Pacific (India) Pvt. Ltd. Innovation Hub at Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad on May 21, 2026.

The AI-Hub has been established in partnership with IIT Hyderabad to strengthen digital transformation (DX) talent development and industry-academia collaboration in India.

The facility will support internships, joint research programmes and collaborative innovation initiatives focused on emerging technologies and real-world industrial applications. The initiative is also expected to contribute to AGC’s broader digital transformation efforts by enabling students and researchers to work on practical industry challenges.

AGC Asia Pacific India Pvt. Ltd. and IIT Hyderabad have previously collaborated on internships and joint AI research programmes, with the new innovation hub aimed at further expanding this partnership in a more strategic and long-term manner.

AI-Hub in India reflects the growing strength of the Indo-Japan partnership, where digital transformation is not only advancing industrial competitiveness but also nurturing globally skilled talent. Through collaborative innovation, knowledge exchange, and technology-led growth, such initiatives will further deepen bilateral cooperation and contribute to building resilient and future-ready industries across both nations.”
