RVNL emerges as lowest bidder for upgradation of NH-53 in Odisha

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI)
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has awarded Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) the lowest bidder (L1) status for the upgradation project of NH-53 in Odisha, package-IV. Valued at Rs 808.48 crore, the project entails the rehabilitation and upgradation of the Chandikhole-Paradip section of NH-53 (formerly NH-5A), expanding it from four to eight lanes.

Implemented on a hybrid annuity mode (HAM) basis, NHAI aims to complete the project within 24 months. The upgradation of NH-53 will significantly improve connectivity and transportation efficiency in the region, benefiting both commuters and the local economy.
