The Rajasthan government has approved a Rs 290.82 crore road infrastructure project to strengthen and widen 38 approach roads connecting RIICO industrial areas across the state. The project will cover a total length of 205 km and aims to improve connectivity to key industrial hubs, supporting industrial growth and logistics efficiency.

The project will be implemented jointly by the Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) and the Public Works Department (PWD) under a cost-sharing arrangement. RIICO will bear 50% of the project cost, amounting to Rs 145.41 crore, while PWD will execute the construction, widening and strengthening works.

The identified roads are located in industrial areas across Abu Road, Ajmer, Balotra, Banswara, Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Churu, Dausa, Jaipur, Jalore, Jhalawar, Kota, Neemrana, Sawai Madhopur, Sri Ganganagar and Udaipur.

PWD granted administrative and financial approval for the project on May 6, 2026. Following approval from RIICO’s Board of Directors, the corporation has already transferred Rs 72.70 crore, representing 50% of the first instalment of its share, to PWD. The department will now initiate the tendering process and commence execution of the road improvement works.

The project is expected to enhance connectivity to industrial areas, facilitate smoother movement of goods and raw materials, and strengthen infrastructure supporting Rajasthan’s industrial development.
