MoRTH approves ₹68,000-cr road projects in Northeast

The Union Transport Minister, Nitin Gadkari has approved new road and highway projects involving an investment of ₹68,000 crore in four North Eastern states. New projects worth ₹50,000 crore have been approved in Assam, ₹9,000 crore for Meghalaya, ₹5,000 crore for Nagaland and ₹4,000 crore for Sikkim. The transport ministry is aiming to change the entire scenario of road transport in the entire northeastern region by 2024.
