Gadkari stresses on Sustainable Technology & alternative fuels in CE industry
Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari exhorted construction equipment manufacturers to use sustainable technology in equipment manufacturing and urges them to use alternative fuels such as ethanol and methanol to reduce their fuel cost. Addressing the Annual Session of ICEMA, the Minister said Cooperation, Coordination and Communication among stakeholders will pave the way in implementing the sustainable technology, herefore leading to economic viability. The government has its major focus on road infrastructure, coal, mining, airports and waterways. The industry should strive to bring cost-effective equipment and keep its focus on usage of alternative fuels, safety of workers and job creation.
