Gadkari Stresses Decentralization & Quality in Road Infra Development

The Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari, underscored the importance of decentralization and quality in achieving success in road projects. Speaking at the "National Highways Excellence Awards (NHEA)" program, Gadkari highlighted the rapid pace of road, tunnel, and bridge construction as a source of national pride. He called for efforts to reduce costs and enhance construction quality while emphasizing environmental preservation. Addressing industry challenges like black spots and pollution, Gadkari urged caution and diligence from all stakeholders.

Minister of State General (Rtd.) Dr V K Singh expressed gratitude to the jury and optimism for reducing road accidents through improved road signages. Secretary Shri Anurag Jain stressed the collective responsibility of engineers and stakeholders in identifying and rectifying black spots, emphasizing quality construction and timely project completion.
