Delhi PWD initiates study for Bawana Flyover Project

The PWD wing of the Delhi government
The PWD wing of the Delhi government is in the initial stages of a pre-feasibility study for a new flyover connecting Bawana village to Kanjhawala and Narela Road. A tender has been issued to appoint a consultant for a detailed project study. The consultant will conduct a comprehensive Traffic Volume Count survey, analyzing turning movements and vehicle classifications at intersections over a 24-hour midweek period. The study will assess peak-hour traffic flow and intersection load to determine the necessity of a flyover or underpass. Additionally, a cost-benefit analysis will consider economic, environmental, and social factors, including time savings, reduced man-hours, fuel consumption, and lower vehicular emissions.
