The Union Transport Ministry has sanctioned ₹792.39 crore for the expansion of 13.25 km stretch of the National Highway 965 from Dive Ghat to Hadapsar. The government aims to complete the work before Ashadhi Ekadashi next year. The stretch from Dive Ghat to Hadapsar falls under the Mohol-Alandi section of the National Highway, which is currently two-lanes wide. The Centre has sanctioned funds for converting the existing two-lane stretch into a four-lane highway. The road widening work will be carried out on the hybrid annuity model. It may be recalled that the PM had laid the foundation stone of the project in November 2019 for the palkhi routes for Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj palkhi from Alandi and Sant Tukaram Maharaj palkhi from Dehu to Pandharpur during the Ashadhi Wari.
