Construction work to start on Edappally-Moothakunnam NH in Kochi

national highway
The construction of 25-km Edappally-Moothakunnam stretch of NH-66 is all set to start. A flyover at signal Junction and five underpasses in Cheranalloor will be constructed as a part of the project. Along with the highway, a six-lane flyover, 7-m-wide service roads, and drainage will also be constructed, and the entire project will be completed in 30-months.

About 60% of land acquisition has been completed and the demolition work on the acquired land is currently in full swing. Those who offered their land for the project would be permitted to construct houses at three metres from the NH. The project is part of the 164-km Edappally-Ramanattukara NH-66 stretch which was proposed over three decades ago.
