AISATS Crosses 20,000 MT Cargo Handling Milestone at Ranchi, Targets Double-Digit Growth in FY27
The roadshow brought together nearly 70 delegates, including the President of the Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the Airport Director (APD), IXR, representatives from airlines, cargo agents, freight forwarders, trade associations, manufacturers, the Airports Authority of India (AAI), the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), and other industry stakeholders. The event served as a platform to discuss Ranchi's evolving cargo landscape, emerging business opportunities, and the role of robust air cargo infrastructure in supporting regional economic growth.
The Ranchi Air Cargo Terminal, operated by AISATS, has an annual handling capacity of 18,250 MT and is well positioned to cater to the region's growing logistics requirements. The terminal handles a diverse range of cargo, including documents, automotive components, ready-made garments, e-commerce shipments, household goods, fruits and vegetables, pharmaceuticals, mobile phones, and electronic goods, connecting businesses across Jharkhand. In recent years, perishables and ready-made garments have emerged as two of the fastest-growing cargo segments, reflecting increasing demand from local businesses.
