UP Ranks Among Top 3 States Contributing to India's MSME Sector: CBRE
CBRE South Asia Pvt. Ltd., a leading real estate consulting firm, has released a report titled "MSMEs: Unleashing the Engines of Economic Prosperity," highlighting the significant contribution of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in India's economy. According to the report, Uttar Pradesh (UP) has secured a position among the top three states contributing to the MSME sector, holding a 9% share in the country's MSME landscape. The report emphasizes the regional concentration of MSME activities, with Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh collectively representing nearly 40% of India's registered MSMEs. The Udyam scheme and policy initiatives have played a crucial role in fostering the growth of MSMEs in Uttar Pradesh. The report also identifies the construction sector as a strategic opportunity for Indian MSMEs, contributing around 8% to the GDP.
