Union govt approves two new townships in Uttarakhand

The industrial township in Parag Farm is expected to attract an investment of Rs 10,000 crore, transforming it into a major industrial hub. This development holds significant potential for generating employment for the local community. Similarly, the integrated township in Doiwala, with its proximity to the airport, offers an ideal location for an integrated aero township.
The state government had previously submitted a proposal worth Rs 1,100 crore for the development of these townships in Kumaon and Garhwal.
Additionally, the state government has put forth plans to establish six more townships across Uttarakhand. These include a film city near Naini Saini airport in Pithoragarh, a Doon twin city, a cyber-city in Sahaspur, a wellness township in Gauchar, a Haldwani twin city near Gaulapar, and a tourism township in Ramnagar. These initiatives aim to further enhance various sectors and promote overall development in the state.
