TCIL to Invest ₹1,787cr for Jamshedpur Manufacturing Unit Expansion
The Tinplate Company of India (TCIL), a Tata Steel subsidiary, announces a ₹1,787 crore investment for a 3-lakh tpa manufacturing facility in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. Scheduled for commissioning in 2026, the expansion project aims to enhance manufacturing capabilities, employ advanced technology and automation, and contribute to domestic and export markets. TCIL's key products, Tinplate and Tin Free Steel, will cater to various industries, including edible oils, paints, processed foods, batteries, and aerosols, fostering industrial growth and job creation in the region.
