NHAI Collaborates with GSI for Geotechnical Consultancy Services

NHAI
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Geological Survey of India (GSI) to provide site-specific geotechnical consultancy services and assist in vetting detailed project reports (DPRs) from a geotechnical perspective.

Under the agreement, GSI will offer consultancy services such as the preparation of geological maps, slope stability studies, identification of geologically weak zones, and recommendations for remedial measures. Additionally, GSI will assist in 3D geological logging of tunnels and provide stabilization measures where necessary.

Furthermore, GSI will conduct detailed analyses of DPRs prepared by NHAI consultants. The collaboration between these two government organizations is expected to enhance the quality of construction for national highways, providing a strong impetus to infrastructure development.
