Merlinhawk Aerospace forms JV with Vega Composites for defence corridor manufacturing unit
Merlinhawk Aerospace (MAPL) has entered into a joint venture (JV) agreement with Italy's Vega Composites to establish a manufacturing and design facility in Tamil Nadu's defence corridor. The newly-formed company, 'Merlinhawk Composites and Engineering,' will focus on producing advanced composite material-based products, targeting demand in marine, railway, and aerospace sectors. The JV also aims to explore opportunities in the emerging hydrogen storage and fuel cell markets. This strategic partnership, expected to be the first between Italian and Indian firms, intends to capitalize on India's growing market while facilitating the transfer of design and manufacturing expertise. The collaboration aims to enhance technical capabilities and offer cutting-edge composite solutions in India and the region.
