Karnataka Inks MoUs Worth ₹23,000-cr with Global Companies at Davos

The Karnataka government has successfully signed eight Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) totaling ₹23,000 crore with global companies during the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The agreements include a significant ₹20,000 crore investment from Web Werks for a hyper-scale data center and Microsoft's commitment to digital skilling interventions. Hitachi also signed an MoU focusing on stimulating economic growth in Karnataka, particularly in rural areas, with an emphasis on developing sectors such as healthcare, education, and Panchayat E-Governance. Additionally, MoUs worth ₹3,000 crore were inked across various sectors like digital healthcare, smart city infrastructure, renewable energy, and data centers. The delegation explored collaborations in global capability centers, with companies like HP, Rockwell, Sony, and Volvo expressing interest in expanding their capabilities in Bengaluru. The state aims to translate these agreements into concrete investments and ensure the smooth implementation of the projects.
