Himachal CM Allocates ₹100 Cr for Shimla Infrastructure Upgradation

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced a sanction of ₹100 crore for enhancing infrastructure in Shimla town, aiming to boost tourist footfall and support locals.

Of the allocated funds, ₹55 crore will be dedicated to installing underground power cables in Shimla, ensuring uninterrupted power supply during extreme weather conditions. Sukhu highlighted that this initiative will not only enhance the town's aesthetic appeal but also restore its historical charm.

Additionally, ₹45 crore will be utilized for the improvement and widening of Circular Road in Shimla. This move is aimed at easing traffic congestion and enhancing public mobility in the area.

Sukhu emphasized that these measures are vital for promoting tourism and ensuring the smooth functioning of essential services in Shimla.
